When clean air is a must, count on the QRD

Our QRD series of single-stage, reciprocating air compressors has specifically been created for clean air applications. Hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, food processors, dental offices--wherever clean air is an absolute necessity, the QRD is the answer.

The reason is that the QRD series has been designed in accordance with NFPA requirements for hospital and medical compressed air. The QRD is "oil-less" - it doesn't require a single drop of oil to operate. In addition, by not using asbestos-filled gaskets in its construction, the QRD complies with EPA health standards.

Being oil-Less is only one of the QRD's advantages. Capable of performing at pressures up to 125 psig (on models through 10 HP), the QRD is air-cooled and built to last, thanks to a cast iron crankcase, a ductile iron crankshaft, and totally sealed, lubricated bearings. The QRD runs cooler because of deep fins, a fan-type pulley, and thermal insulators located on the piston pins. For convenient serviceability and easy removal, the QRD's cylinders are bolted on the crankcase. Precision is a key. The QRD features the precise fits and perfect alignments associated with computer-aided design. That's an assurance of long life and performance that can't be matched in the industry.

The QRD is available in simplex tan-mounted, duplex tank-mounted, and base-mounted configurations.
