The new design of the Power$ync II retains the features that have made the QSI line of

controls, Power$ync’s new system adds true
computer intelligence to compressor control. It
was designed in-house by Quincy Compressor
engineers, people who understand compressors
and how they should operate. Power$ync’s new
control system is like having a round-the-clock
operator choosing the most efficient way to
respond to system demands.
With conventional microprocessor control, the
capacity of a compressor is determined by
changes in system air pressure. Power$ync will
monitor not just changes in pressure, but rates of
change as well. If, for example, the control sensed
a very slow or very rapid change in pressure it
would automatically recalculate all lift valve
pressure deadbands and their response to rates of
system pressure change, assuring you of the most
compressed air for the least power input while
maintaining the desired system pressure.
The Power$ync system has been designed to
offer not only the best part-load efficiency for a
single compressor, but also the most efficient
multi-machine control available from any
manufacturer.
Once linked together to form a network,
Power$ync compressors share information about
their capacities and operating settings. The
network will calculate which compressors will
run, based on the programmed scheduling, and at
what capacity to provide the most compressed air
for the least power input. The network can also
control other Power$ync compressors in any
combination of sizes. No other compressor
manufacturer offers this level of sophistication in
their controls for rotary screw compressors.
