The Quincy Power$ync controller is one of the most advanced and reliable electronic controllers available. The Power$ync monitors the compressor and adjusts accordingly to system demands - maintaining peak efficiency around the clock.

Uniquely designed to control the QSI 500, 750, 1000 and 1500. the Power$ync constantly and efficiently monitors first and second stage discharge pressure and temperature, package discharge pressure and temperature, and bearing lube pressure. Plus, Load/No-Load with Auto Dual works during periods of low or no demand by automatically turning the compressor off - restarting only when demand returns.

The Quincy Power$ync unloading system provides the lowest unloaded power consumption available. When air system demand is satisfied, the Power$ync II removes the machine's ability to compress air via the patented Quincy lift valves. This dramatically reduces the power required to turn the rotors and results in up to 90% reduction in utilized horsepower.

And, of course, the Power$ync is easy to use. All display messages are in English with no cryptic codes to reference. And as an added measure of reliability, a fully redundant electro-mechanical control system is included for manual control.

Quincy Compressor has always produced the most efficient single-stage rotary screw compressor on the market. That philosophy has been carried over to the new Power$ync variable capacity airend to provide the most efficient compressor for part-load application.

The new design of the Power$ync II retains the features that have made the QSI line of compressors the most rugged and reliable machines in their class. These features include:

  • Positive closure inlet valve for low unloaded horsepower requirements
  • Positive displacement lubricant pump for dependable and efficient lubricant injection under all operating conditions
  • Optimized rotor profile design for unsurpassed efficiency
  • Triplex discharge bearings that reduce individual bearing loads and add significantly to the service life
  • Exclusive axial flow inlet housing to condition inlet air and increase air flow

With conventional microprocessor control, the capacity of a compressor is determined by changes in system air pressure. Power$ync will monitor not just changes in pressure, but rates of change as well. If, for example, the control sensed a very slow or very rapid change in pressure it would automatically recalculate all lift valve pressure deadbands and their response to rates of system pressure change, assuring you of the most compressed air for the least power input while maintaining the desired system pressure.

The Power$ync system has been designed to offer not only the best part-load efficiency for a single compressor, but also the most efficient multi-machine control available from any manufacturer.

Once linked together to form a network, Power$ync compressors share information about their capacities and operating settings. The network will calculate which compressors will run, based on the programmed scheduling, and at what capacity to provide the most compressed air for the least power input. The network can also control other Power$ync compressors in any combination of sizes. No other compressor manufacturer offers this level of sophistication in their controls for rotary screw compressors.
